Eagle Garuda



Forty feet high totem carved from red Cedar tree
represents its regime, the eagle on the top of it.
Sitting on the totem at Ludlow port, the eagles
also take panoramic view alongwith the tourists.

Like the eagles swoop down on a serpent
powerful warriors are compared with them.
Human like eagle ‘Garuda’ finds place in
Thailand and Indonesia’s national emblem.

In Hindu’s epics Garuna, the large mythical bird
is combination of human and the bird eagle.
It protected the deities from the snakes and
other danger by its power of super natural

Garuna the king of birds, vehicle of Lord Vishnu
having the controlling power over sepents;
invoked as a symbol of speed, power,
martial prowess and impetuous force, violent.

Garuna is said to rescued Lakshman from snakes
when he arrived flapping his huge strong wings;
sky was darkened, trees were uprooted and
in the region he created hurricane like winds.

The symbol of the power and great speed,
having served Lord Vishnu as his vehicle ;
Garuna is worshiped by Hindus as their deity
and statue is installed in most Vishnu’s temples.
