Media does Manthara

Manthara is a character in the epic Ramayana.
She is a maid and to the queen Kaikayee very faithful.
She is cunning, diplomatic, could create contentions;
she believes in the policy of divide and rule.

She poisons mind of Kaikayee to induce to demand -
throne of Ayodhya for her son and exile to Rama.
To fulfill her wily goals, she divides the royal family
and creates controversy by playing diplomatic drama.

Now, media is too indulged in  doing Manthara;
creates controversy to make the news sensational.
Sometimes, presents the news coated with colour
and to prove it true and good, makes squabbles.

Manthara’s jurisdiction was limited  to imperial family
and her aim was purely personal.
Media has wide spectrum to peep into any one
having the goals of commercial and political.

Media makes the news, cooks the news;
sometimes forgets, left heating on the oven.
When it starts burning and smelling foul;
media starts showering the water, then.

Manthara had caught hold just ears of the issue;
Media catch holds the legs, twists and breaks.
Serves to their audience in own wrapper,
when its original figure, completely de-shapes.

Media makes news,  makes it cold or sunny ,
sometimes makes it honey, sometimes funny,
sometimes bigger than mountains, sometimes tiny;
it does all the doable, because it makes money.

Four sisters

I love all the four sisters,
they come to me, one by one.
Each stays maximum, a quarter;
they know best, the reason.

Sumery  is  so hot, she frights me.
With her heat, I melt to sweat.
Wintie carries, buckets of snow flurries,
I shiver but that’s the way of her treat.

Rainey is very kind and generous
but she is having odd behavior.
Mostly, she goes on weeping;
and if embraces me, wets with tears.

I like most the one, Springale.
She always smiles and looks fresh.
She is most splendid and attractive
and wears the colorful dress.

Springale always comes with
bouquets of beautiful flowers.
My heart blossoms with bliss;
all around, happiness showers.

Light of His grace

Darkness prevail below lamps of light.
Even sun can make bright, only one side.
For every lavish and luxury, we obtain;
may have to go into disgraceful domain.
If enlighten your mind with light of His grace.
Be in dark or bright, ‘self of you’ you can trace.

War is hell

You shed blood of others
to darken red of your blood,
obliterate pathway of their life
to elevate your corridor.

Lives get crushed in retaliations
revenges and the reprisals.
Anguish and pain rise to sky;
soars high, shriek of survivals.

God gives you music and melody
to dance you in the heavens,
but you choose war fields to dance
making the hell, your havens.

God gives you heart to fill in
kindness, passion, love and joy.
You pile ill desires, hatred, wrath;
peace of the world, prefer to destroy.

Creating the world into a hell,
ruining its splendour, is easy task.
If spread around peace and love;

in the heavens you can bask.

My heart is open sky

My heart is open sky
My heart is open sky,
any one craves, can fly,

Would find a place of virtue,
I’m sure, won’t go blue.
It won’t let it, be sad and cry.
If yours is brave, can try.
My heart is open sky.

My heart is so bright.
Won’t go dark your sight.
Stars and moons of the night,
would welcome your flight.
My heart is open sky.

My heart is so much deep.
Unto other end no one can peep.
One can sink for relief and sigh,
for the love it’s spirited so high.
My heart is open sky.

But he gave ...

On a fine day, he stood at my doorstep
‘give me something, Baba!’
He recited this twice and thrice;
hearing, I instantly rushed to grandma.

Dadi! he is standing at the door
give him something, give him.
‘I am busy in important work,
say to go for now, come next time’.

‘God bless you, my child!’
the old guy uttered and turned back.
‘Live long my child, live long’
as he stepped away, repeatedly said.

Surprisingly, I refused but so much he gave;
no anger, no greed, no envy on his face.
He ever prayed for blessings of others,
though himself was least fortunate.
