Commercial terms

'share' of company - a piece of paper having 'face value'.

whole of the company engaged in 'new issue'.

the offer had provision of 'green shoe'.

for years of 'lock in period' 'investment' blocked.

'bulls' give 'call', 'bears' keep 'put'.

'future' price could be less or more than 'spot'.

'term deposit' - money of someone, product of else one.

'mutual fund' - many persons give money to a third person.

'promissory note' - a promise to someone; 'currency note' to no one.

'overheads' left load of worries over head.

higher 'turnover' of goods is good but of labour sad.

'underwriter' insures but accountant 'writes-down' the assets.

'copyright' takes away the right to copy.

'foreign exchange' - give and take money.

'liquid assets' flown away; result - whole business 'liquified'.

sudden 'windfall' blackened the 'bottom line'.

goods delivered 'free on board', yet with 'margin'.

left distinct colours for years, the entities 'merger'.

'turnover' overturned to half, now break-even expected in five years.
