New year - haiku

sun of new morning
rises on the horizon
the new craze and zeal

Let's resolve
In the new year
to live happy

earth sets for
an other round of the sun
new year clicks

earth revolves
time travels in a line
year after year

goes to the
pages of history
one more year

pushes back the old
peeping down the new year
prepared to land

seen - no creature
in the entire valley
a white spread sheet

the snow fall
consumes grocery stock
road's being built

nothing's to drink
o my God! whisky bottle
not yet frozen

In deep waters
Invisible iceberg
titanic drowned

their tail
the kangaroos have
fifth leg

Your name , ghazal

My heart beats for you, that never sleeps.
Ever since I have got it, your name it beeps.
Mind goes insane, looking for the wine;
Flavour and scent of  your name, that keeps.
And long to extinguish the thirst of heart;
For which from goblet to goblet it peeps.
Nothing else it finds, to quench the thirst;
For the unique wine of your name it weeps.
And from the two eyes of mine, not tears;
only and only water of your name seeps.

Beautiful clock, limerick

Bill bought the most beautiful clock
Hundred thousand dollars was its cost
It had got studded gems
Could speak the hours name
At three P.M. it said three O'clock

Sown acacia seeds (sweet fruits)

sown acacia seeds
fruits of apple or orange
none can hope to reap

going with duty
some day certainly would fetch
sweet fruits of karma

Happiness (more makes merry)

Farmer is happy, this year, having grown more crops.
Forests and frogs are happy having more rain drops.
Rich is happy having much more money to spend.
The employee is happy, if he gets extra increment.
The baby is happy for he gets more toys and play.
More time got together, makes happy lover's day.
Customer is happy, getting more value for same price.
The trader is happy when he makes more profit.
Drinker is happy for extra peg free in happy hours
The officer is happy once he gets more powers.
The free bird is happy, she has more space to fly.
Fish of sea is happy, the abundant water won't dry.
Fisherman is happy with more fishes in his basket.
Everyone goes happy when given a free gift packet.
I get happy always, when get up from sleep of night.
Because, I have got each day, one more day of life.

New haiku

far horizon
the sky bends
to kiss the earth

swallowed in fog
the ball of fire
sky worried

storms
to disturbances of sky
earth looses its peace

sky is filled
by vulture and eagle
battle ended

each moment
I see new pictures in sky
roaming clouds

murder of a tree
makes homeless
many birds

trees stand to give
fruits and shadow
fall to give wood

rainbow
a fair of colors
in the sky

shoots in sky
arrows of the light
rainbow

make the earth
her own sons bare
removing trees

birds sing
in first rays of sun
darkness goes

my eyes open
in the first rays of sun
songs of the birds

the birds yell
before I say to any one
'good morning'

Fire

Small match stick
not only extinguishes
the fire of stomach,
raising fire to cook food
but also burns to ashes
the biggest lot of woods.

and fire set by the tongue
burns the minds and soul

fire set in heart can burn the rain

Makes the athletes fly,
sound of the pistol, fired;
on the athletics ground,
filled fire of conquest in their hearts.

He is one and only one

people in this world
speak thousands of languages
offer prayers in their own

who listens all those
where does he live? I don't know
and how does he understand

but one thing I know
He is one and only one
all the words blend in His ears

He listens even
the words I have not spoken
and gives the graces of life

Bingo lingo

Bingo Lingo

People reach clubs, with a great zeal.
Buy the bingo cards, hope for best deal.
Sit in the hall, made their brain sharper.
Wait eagerly, for first call of the Caller.

Sit calm and quite, players, everyone.
Like they're set, for college examination.
Bingo game is hosted, by a lovely team.
But hardly let come true, my dream.

I too get excited, to play there Bingo
Sometimes stuck in luck, sometimes lingo.
Caller calls thirty one, get up and run.
I go on waiting, bakers bun sixty one.

I often get confused in tees and teens.
Called sixty, heart listens sweet sixteen.
I do mix-up twenty five and thirty five,
whether it's duck and dive or jump and jive.

Lucky seven, never gives, slice of heaven.
When need number ten, goes to uncle Ben.
Too number four, hardly knocks my door.
Sometimes wait fiftyfour, to clean the floor.

One of the Kelly's eyes, has always defied.
Lucky number five, only keeps me alive.
Once claimed 'Bingo' of being early bird.
The call went bad because of mis-heard.

Any colour goes; yellow, orange or blue.
Even top of the shop doesn't favour too.
Eighty eight goes, to the ladies who are fat.
They shop the house, I keep on to wait.

I catch the legs eleven and little duck fast.
But that doesn't fetch, any fruitful upshot.
All times I wish, to listen from the caller.
Numbers of my choice for twenty dollars.

It's a fact together, we come here for fun.
Time pass is aim, conquest next concern.
We win or not the prize, doesn't matter.
We win lot of fun, company and chatter.

Halwa

Best sweet dish of Indian cuisine is 'halwa'
As a refreshment or as dessert, it creates 'jalwa'.
Suji halwa, moong dal or made of carrot;
each and every variety of it, is loved by all.
It is liked by children, young and old as well.
As one inhales its smell, his tongue swells.
Every one's delight, but the old people's favour.
Though one is toothless, can easily devour.
To sweeten relationships, the Indians greet
guests arrived at home with the 'halwa treat'.
Indian new bride takes entry into the kitchen
making the halwa as her first dish preparation.
I see love and sweetness in every family of India.
I am sure, it is, because they eat sweet 'halwa'.

Loved by all; youth, child, the old as well.

Shadow of war

God gives splendid stage
and melodies of music
to dance in heavens
but man creates tunes of canons
thereby make hell their havens

God confers the clouds
to rain drops to quench your thirst
and bring happiness
but you choose clouds of nuclear
to rain blood of mankind

lives get crushed in
revenges and reprisals
of human causes
anguish and pain rise to sky
soars high shriek of survivals

remembrance we owe
who died for the cause of war
was muse of some one
I wonder were they human
who chose killing of mankind

Account locked

I needed money urgently but got shocked.
Got a message, my bank account was locked.
Because I had made three wrong attempts.
So my chance to open my account, now ends.
I  made a call to the bank's customer care.
With them, some personal details I did share.
To create a new password, bank suggested.
After received a new, through email posted.
Own coding system, the bank had evolved.
Alpha, numeric and special character involved.
For security reasons, change password fortnightly,
Face consequences, if done a mistake slightly.
Numerous ID and codes, we may have to use.
May be good for security but leads to confuse.
It happens often, I forget one or the other code
Because I use  many accounts and payment modes.
In houses and offices, now we have automatic locks
And to open the doors, we need the code words.
It is possible, you may not open lock of your dwell.
For not remembering the keyword or wrongly spell.

I dream a kind of world

I dream such a kind of world,
where prevails just peace and love.
I dream ...

Where the nature lives own life
and the human being his own.
No way the flowers wither,
no way the creatures moan.
Spring sings all the ways,
and on trees, the chirping birds.
I dream ...

The creatures live for love
no one hurts any other.
No one face the distress
and no one shades tears.
No one lives beggarly life,
or suffers hunger and thirst.
I dream ...

Takes place no war or battle,
where no arms and ammunitions.
There should not be a reason
to have the sort of prison.
To quench their selfish craves
no one proceeds to shade blood.
I dream ...

There we have pleasing bright days,
happy people with self respect.
Needs of everyone is fulfilled
according to his choice of taste.
Every home is filled with joy,
and illuminating rays of hopes.
I dream ...

Sun gives the warmth to all,
and the moon, soothing rays.
Flowers make the place aromatic,
shining stars embellish the ways.
Everyone is blessed by God
and everyone feels most cared.
I dream ...

Vanished acts of immorality,
no one commits the sin.
Everyone goes on righteous,
bears the holy souls, within.
Everyone feels he has got
in the paradise his abode.
I dream ...

Trick or treat / Halloween limerick

Children are out for 'trick or treat'
Wanted dollars for their own greet.
They would go to canteen,
on next day of Halloween,
buy sweet pastries, they would eat.

2
Came to my door, three horrible ghosts.
Looking on them, I was scared almost.
To bring treat, I went in.
On return, were not seen.
The ghost were hiding, behind the post.

Three little girls, were out in a team.
To have full bag candies, was their dream.
They knocked, the old man's door.
A ghost came and did roar.
They ran away with very big scream.

I have observed, mostly my dustbin,
happy and cheerful on Halloween.
Because fills it's tummy,
thing it finds most yummy.
That's fresh skin and pulp of pumpkin.

I am the grass

I am the grass, for you most neglected thing.
Though I offer my most, for creature's living.
I am available to you for free, as a natural gift.
For cultivation, irrigation, no work you need.
I just drink water, but feed numerous of animals.
In the meadows,  I am passion of your cattle.
they all like my taste grasshoppers to caterpillar
Run for me horses, rabbits, kangaroos and deer.
Rendering services to others, is my prime norm
I be abode for many of the insects and worms
Your feet be safe, so I lay as the carpet for you
and dust doesn't ride your head, I take care too.
I decorate pretty your lawns and the parks.
Having medicinal values, also serve as herbs.
I be there in your sports serving you as turf.
Keep your word green and costume your earth.
I feel my duty to keep clean your atmosphere.
Though you escape yours, to take my care.

Window across the street

I opened the window panes to peep out
what occurred in the street
People walking through my street;
I closed them not to let peep.

There was an other window facing
on the other side of the street
On a fine day sight went across
and there, my eyes got fixed.

Thence upon, I used to get look
when that window panes would open
Kept watching there constantly
as my eyes had got frozen.

A pretty picture across the window
caused my heart to spurt
It became a routine to peep
that always cooled down my heart.

Gradually, the panes began to open
aligned at the same time,
Looked like those were controlled
remotely by hands of mine.

Game of simultaneous opening
of the panes went on for few weeks
Finally, day came when she knocked
my door, crossing the street.
