Inner clock alarms, it is autumn
and soon the winter would arrive.
They would be covered by snow,
going to face difficulty in thrive.
Trees think, holding leaves along,
would just waste the stored water.
To save from physiological drought
living without leaves is better.
Leaves! I say, in state of hunger
I may not hold and nurture you.
Better you shed off my branches
before you are covered by snow.
Leaves realise, paucity of water
their mother tree going to face.
Better, leave her house and go
to the grandmother’s residence.
They would foster her strength
and inspire to nurture her daughter.
During the period of snow fall
dearth, she may not have to suffer.
