Since you went away, ghazal

Passed the nights, counting stars, all the way;
My sleeps gone stray, since you went away.

The clouds rained upon, only my tears;
with my sentiments, wind began to play.

The birds have been chirping my hymn;
sang the song of love, on your pathway.

Moon and the stars shined my whiteness;
so as your nights be cool, calm and okay.

I felt your breath and whiff in blossoms;
about your fervor, whispering breeze did say.

Peeked out every train passed, of my window;
perhaps boarded on one, you might stay.

I ever felt your glory in my closed eyes,
your revered presence through night and day. Since …

My sleeps gone stray, since you went away.
