Kindness

I don't want to be kind, like a butcher,
before slaughtering his lambs, he feeds.
I don't want to be kind, like a devotee,
who offers animals for his ritual needs.

I don't want to be kind, like the grass,
any one comes to ruin and graze.
I don't want to be kind, like a robin;
the hawk or eagle comes and preys.

I want to be kind, like a generous tree
who smiles giving fruits to creatures.
I want to be kind, like crops of the field,
on dying, leave the grains for others.

I want to be kind, like bee and cows
to give honey or milk, bear the pain.
I want to be kind, like dense clouds,
to extinguish thirst of others, those rain.
