Deepawali

We celebrate Deepawali festival every year,
in the month of October or  November;
when summer and rainy season is went off
and has set in the pleasant autumn weather.

Celebrating this great festival of deepawali,
we worship Goddess Lakshmi, to confer:
wealth, riches, splendid, happiness, loveliness
grace, charm, peace, prosperity and pleasure.

We decorate our dwells and work-premises,
with colors and light to welcome the Goddess.
Mother Lakshmi may come and fill our home,
with joy, fragrance, freshness and sweetness.

People make the colorful fabulous Rangoli
at their door steps as the welcome symbol.
Goddess Lakshmi! put your sacred step
and bring good luck to us, on this festival.

Goddess! I decked up my doorstep for you
and lighted up the path with lamps of love.
Do come and be impressed, with my devotion.
Shower in abundance, your goodwill upon us.

The way one lamp can light up many lamps
and destroy the darkness of the ambience;
Deepawali is the festival that enlightens us
way to spread love and do away murkiness.

Lord Rama devastated the evil from land;
to signify it, we light up row of clay lamps.
Let the luminous light of the truth prevail,
let the good triumph over the evil, always.

Goddess Lakshmi! put your sacred step
and brings good luck to us on this festival
may luck transform to a bright year
