Lotus is the symbol of peace
and Lotus Temple
a tranquil place.
Crowd of thousands sitting in but
sense no bit of hum or resonance.
Green field spread all around
do appear like the green petals,
covering the lotus flower in midst
having petals of white marble.
White marble clad petals of lotus
give nine sided circular shape.
Has nine doors to enter a huge hall
with no statue, picture or image.
Open to people of all religions
it is an amazing religious art.
The joined petals point out to us
how we can join our hearts.
The temple gives clear message
despite of religion, love each
other.
Like the petals combined together
make lovely and exquisite flower.
Great architect Fariborz Sahba
has graced the Bahai community
to fulfil their religious purpose
and
gifted an icon to New Delhi City.
