Real things i need

When I was child, things I get are free, I knew.
Priced are mere candy, ice-cream and others few.
Pond, nearby my village was owned by everyone.
Used to bath and swim freely, there whoever went.

Never knew that in future I shall be deprived.
For drinking water too, I would have to pay price.
Land would have been captured, by mighty people.
To earn the livelihood, we would have to struggle.

We would be caused to work at other’s instance.
To do things at my own I would have lesser chance.
But you gave me strength and wisdom to learn;
To pay for my necessary things, knew how to earn.

You gave everything that I needed here to subsist.
But to get, yet more and more my mind insists.
Your door is open, where everything is available.
But to achieve real things I need, find me incapable.

Lord! I want to grow that much, I know, who am I
What are the things! I need to be here and why.
