My Married Valentine

She was eighteen and I was twenty
as parents decided we got married.
Parents were so wise kept us apart
so as we could continue our studies.

I had not to search my valentine
on the forthcoming valentine day.
To meet and greet each other
it was difficult to communicate.

As we had no options of chating
non of us had a telephone line.
Neither had face-book or tweeter
she was away a thousand miles.

I posted a letter well before
the time of my arrival there.
At an appropriate cinema hall
to be present, I asked her.

I could not go to her house
because of social restrictions.
Neither could hold one’s hand
at the  public locations.

We managed to watch a movie
Stealthy in that cinema hall
Opportuned to meet first time
six months later, after marriage
