little more

I was studying in a village in primary school
My dad didn’t own a car, no school bus too.
In absence of motor vehicle  and  school bus
On my bicycle only to school I had to rush.

One summer morning found the tire deflated
At a cycle repair shop the air pump I lifted;
Started pumping in air without knowing pressure
no meter was available  for pressure measure.

I could use only my eye balls or my thumb
Could not assess pressure, excess air pumped.
The over pressure caused the tire burst.
Appearing in the important examination was must.

Till tire could be repaired I became too late
Reached fearing to miss my most important test.
Fortunately, my class teacher was so nice
She blessed me by giving some extra time
