Yearning to paint the portrait,
Sun lends colours of his amass;
Releasing first red and orange
Subsequently, all his range.
Hanged portrait in the cosmos,
painted by day by borrowed colours;
In variety of colours and hues
but leaving the roof blue.
To protect from stains, everyday
black velvet cover is spread;
Lent colours, Lord takes back
in reverse sequence, leaving black.
Bit by bit I see beauty of the portrait,
dawn and dusk golden, nights black
Day spread in day, others million shades
showing each spot beauty and splendid
